Considering all that’s happening in the world, I can’t help but wonder about the future for my grandbabies. Perhaps you wonder the same for those you love.
Challenging circumstances don’t have to disturb our inner peace. If we take Jesus’ words seriously, we can accept that trusting in God is the way to respond.
When bad news comes our way, we needn’t cave into fear. As followers of Jesus Christ, we belong to the living God for whom nothing is impossible.
God will never make a promise and then forget to honor it. He’ll never commit to doing something and then procrastinate or fail to follow through.
Only God knows what the new year will hold. One thing we know ~ no matter what the new year’s headlines say, we can experience peace because Jesus promised.
If we take Jesus seriously, then we can rest assured that trusting in God is the better way to respond. Here are five good reasons for choosing that better way.

What do you need today, friend? If you’re following the Good Shepherd, then everything you need is at your disposal. Just ask.
Fill your mind with His words. Meditate on them. Write them on notecards and post them where you’ll see them often. Speak them aloud. Personalize and pray them
Only God knows what the new year holds. For us, it’s a huge uncertainty. But one thing we know for sure, we can experience peace because Jesus said so.
What is God’s love language? It’s said that God’s love language is obedience. He feels most loved by us when we do what He says.
I’ve thought about what I can give to Jesus. The answer, I believe, is a joyfully obedient heart. – not just for Christmas but for 365 days each year.
Peace in the face of uncertainty is indeed a gift. Given to us by the Prince of Peace, it’s available to us not only during the Christmas season but year-round.
Because of who Jesus is, praying in His name gives me faith to believe that God will hear and answer in a way that is completely right and in the right timing.

We yearn for peace, especially when evil happens as it did this week in Boston. Is peace possible? Yes. By admitting that we need God’s help.

Entering a relationship with Jesus is key to unlocking the door to peace. After that, we can take practical steps when fearful thoughts enter our minds.
