God never makes a promise He cannot keep. We can count on Him to keep His word because His faithfulness is rooted in His character, and He never lies.
Ruach Elohim meets us where we are. He doesn’t wait for us to get it together first. He comes near in the middle of our mess, our questions, and our conflicts.
We can go through the motions of faith without yielding control. But when we acknowledge God as Adonai, faith moves from routine to relationship.
The weather changes. Our circumstances change. Our health and relationships and finances can change. But Yahweh Tsuri remains steadfast and reliable.
Let’s ask God to help us view suffering not as something to avoid or escape but as the portal through which we must pass to experience spiritual power.
Having a relationship with Jesus is foundational to finding rest for the soul, but we can take other actions to address our soul’s need for rest.
You may have experienced or witnessed events for which there was no human explanation, and seeing it unfold bolstered your faith.
God created me and you with an inherent need for rest. We often equate rest with sleep, but that’s only a small part of the whole picture.
Many of us experience feelings of unworthiness, but our emotions don’t diminish God’s love for us. He sees our flaws and failings, and He loves us anyway.
Sooner or later, every believer faces a crisis of belief. When deeply held beliefs about God waver, rest assured they cannot change the truth about who He is.
For several years, I’ve enjoyed the New Year’s practice of choosing one word on which to focus for twelve months. This year, my word is “walk.”
God “gets”us. He knows every thought we think, every tear we shed, and every desire whether verbalized or not. He knows, and He cares.
Life’s caves become classrooms where we learn deep spiritual truths. Let’s view them as places to experience God in rich, unique ways.
Each January, I prayerfully ask God for the word He knows will inspire personal growth and help me persevere through year. Here is this year’s word.

That’s our Jesus! He’s our out-of-the-ordinary, beyond human explanation king who counsels us and leads us because He truly cares about us.
Someday we’ll know more fully than we know now. We’ll know more about God’s character and more about why He allowed certain circumstances into our lives.
