Mustering Courage in the Face of Fear
How can we muster courage in the face of fear? By remembering that, no matter what happens to us, we are victors because God is the king of our lives.

In January 2008, I flew to Florida and Indiana for two television interviews. In all my life, I’ve never played such a game of “Good News, Bad News.”
Champions one minute. Losers the next. What a ride! How can we prevent or lessen the emotional ups and downs?
How much does God love us? We can’t even begin to count the ways! His devotion to us supersedes anything our minds can comprehend.
I remember when I first sensed God nudging me to write this book. My human logic scoffed: “Who, me? You want me to do what? Are you kidding? I can’t do that.”
I usually cherish riding time because it gives me uninterrupted opportunity to ponder, pray, and praise. But yesterday’s experience was different.
God will work out His plans
When we’re walking in right relationship with the living God, we can rest assured that everything’s under control – His control.

When I feel afraid, Psalm 107 speaks to me. One section tells of sailors whose ships were tossed to the heavens and plunged to the depths.
Once upon a time, I raced to protect my kids from danger. If they fell and scraped a knee, I could give them a kiss and fix the owie. Now I can’t do that.
My thoughts are tempted to flit from here to there and everywhere – wondering why marketing efforts didn’t produce more, wondering what more I could have done.
