If we truly want to overcome a self-defeating habit or habitual sin, then banishing inaccurate thinking and replacing it with truth is key.
Health is a priceless gift, but it takes intentional effort to stay healthy. If we’re to use our bodies as tools for God’s glory, we need to make that effort.
God’s unshakeable Truth helps calm fear. God is up to something far bigger than I can imagine; I will trust and not be afraid because He is with me.
About this time each January, North Americans break their New Year’s resolutions to pursue a healthier lifestyle. Applying God’s Word can help you keep yours.
His presence and power change everything. He infuses us with His vision, breathes energy into us as we pursue His kingdom, and brings eternal results for our efforts.
God’s all about exchanging the old for the new, giving second chances, and restoring what was lost or broken. He wants to fill us with hope.
God gives us the victory. He reminds us that we’re doing this in obedience to His call, and He’s responsible for the results.
Jesus lives in me. And He lives in you, too, if you’ve placed your faith in Him. Intimacy doesn’t get much better than that!
The fundamental step is to spend time in the Light’s presence. Ask Jesus to fill and control us, and His light will shine through us and pierce the darkness.
We owe our very best to our heavenly Father. We know this applies to spiritual lives, but sometimes we forget it applies to our physical lives, too.
We yearn for peace, especially when evil happens as it did this week in Boston. Is peace possible? Yes. By admitting that we need God’s help.
Do we struggle with the same issues and wonder why we never gain victory over them? Perhaps we’re not doing something we ought.
Our conversation continued on a congenial note for a few minutes, and then we hung up. Two weeks later the same woman sent me an email.
