When is it Good to Look Back?
Looking back has its place and benefits. Spend a few minutes recalling one of God’s kindnesses toward you, one answered prayer, one act of provision.

Keep your ears tuned to God’s voice. Listen for His promises and do what He says. Keep your focus on Him, and you will know a peace that cannot be manufactured.
Let’s ask God to open our eyes to the wonders He’s created. Let’s stand in awe of who He is and marvel that He loves us and wants a relationship with us.
Psalm 54:4 offers a simple but profound truth packed with hope for whatever pain or uncertainty we face today. It says, “But God is my helper.”
The good news is ~ confessing our sin changes everything for us. God takes it away. He doesn’t just hide it somewhere else. He removes it from us.
We run into trouble when we let our focus linger where it shouldn’t, so the moment we’re aware of our lapse, we need to put it back on Jesus.
This God whose strength supersedes anything we can imagine is the same God who holds us in His hand. He cradles us when we’re lonely or afraid or discouraged.
Life takes unexpected turns. Sometimes we have no answers. But we always have a Comforter. And in Him we always find hope.
Envy is a trap. Freedom comes when we focus not on what others have but on the riches that belong to us when we belong to God.
Every hardship we experience is part of the pruning and honing necessary to prepare us. They also make us more like Jesus no matter what our destiny is.
Whatever questions we ask, we can rest assured that God hasn’t left us to answer them on our own. He’s promised to guide, advise, and lead us.
Telling our faith stories to the younger generations is vital so that they might open their hearts to the Lord and learn to love, obey, and trust Him.
Times like this test our faith. Here are three truths to remember even if God seems silent or doesn’t rush to our rescue as we wish He would when life hurts.
Being honest with ourselves, others, and God requires admitting we’re imperfect. Doing so is humbling, but the rewards are worth it.
Jesus alone is our Anchor in life’s storms. Let’s hang on tightly to Him so that His sweet presence will draw us from darkness into the light of hope.
Giving thanks shifts our focus from our circumstances to the God who rules over them. It sets our mind to rest and frees us to see what God does on our behalf.
The word “all” is teeny but don’t overlook its might. Here are several verses that will instill hope when you’re tempted to say, “Nothing’s going right.”
Changing the way we think means identifying the lies and replacing them with the Truth. But knowing it isn’t enough; we must apply it too.
He says, “Don’t worry. A routine is nice and it’s comfortable, but it’s not the end-all. I am Your rock. I am Your stability.”
God’s unshakeable Truth helps calm fear. God is up to something far bigger than I can imagine; I will trust and not be afraid because He is with me.
The only thing that satisfies our deepest needs – our relationship with our Creator. He is what our soul longs for, and we’re designed for intimacy with Him.
No matter what our needs are, we can find a biblical promise that applies to it. Based on the certainty of that promise, we can find courage.
The Lord surrounds His people both now and forever. He is everywhere around us. Nothing can touch us unless He parts the way and allows it.
He’s the most powerful hero of all – Christ who conquered the world. He shows up with His power, His reassurance and His way to lift us from danger.
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,” says Psalm 118:24. These words resonate with us some days more than others. Do you agree?
Loving relationships, comfortable circumstances, and possessions are gifts meant to be enjoyed, but not meant to become our security and satisfaction in life.
These verses remind us that God is our refuge and our hope. Let us rely on His strength and not on our own. Let us seek His will and not our own.
God never shirks His responsibility toward us. What He says He’ll do, He will do. He is completely trustworthy. We can put our hope and trust in His word.
He satisfies my hunger and quenches my thirst. Every day, day after day after day…the supply of divine delicacies never ends.
Let’s be open and teachable. Let’s place ourselves at the Master’s feet and invite Him to teach us whatever we need to learn.
If God is who He says He is, and if His promises are true, and if He never fails to fulfill them – why do we worry or assume the worst?
When circumstances deviate from the path I’d choose, I find consolation in three little words: “God’s got this.” He’s in control of every detail of our lives,
God is very aware of the hopes we embrace. God’s timing is not our timing. God’s love for us is so vast that we can trust Him in the wait
Satan knows how to attack Christ’s followers and he wants to defeat us but Christ is our hiding place. He surrounds us with songs of victory and unfailing love.
Jesus is all about setting us free from bondage. There are no cookie-cutter answers for our tough issues, but He is more than willing and able to help us.
I trust with ALL my heart, not just the part that I am comfortable giving Him. Acknowledging He is God replaces fear with courage and fills me with joy.
