The enemy of our souls doesn’t want us free and joy-filled, so he plants these lies in our minds. Often we don’t recognize their presence until we hit a crisis.

Remembering who God is gives us the courage and ability to do what He says. It enables us to “be anxious for nothing” and to “give thanks in everything.”
Beginning and ending our day focused on God is found in Psalm 92:2: It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening.

Instead, dwell on the for-sures. For sure, God has not abandoned us. For sure, the pain of this earthly life is temporal.
Assuming the worst often means we waste a lot of time and energy entertaining negative thoughts and what-ifs. But assuming correctly is a whole ‘nother story.
