What Might a Heart in Tune with God Look Like?
Let’s ask the Lord to give us hearts in tune with His. And then let’s be bold and ask Him to be good to us just as He promises.

This mighty One, the Creator who made the heavens and the earth, is He who holds us in His hands. He loves us, calls us by name, and has plans for our lives.
Jesus wants relationship with His followers. He wants us to slow down, step out of the “busy boat,” and spend time in His presence.
This is the stuff of which soap operas are made. It’s a story filled with unfortunate drama, fear, panic, lust, murder, and justification.
David addressed God as Sovereign Lord because he understood that aspect of His character. He used the title as a term of respect and honor.
It’s possible to convince ourselves that we’re walking in obedience when in reality, we’re far from it. Others might recognize our shortcoming but we’re blinded
“Lord, help!” Almighty God hears these two-words prayers and moves into action on behalf of those who utter them. Amazing, isn’t it?
I’m guilty, too. I read about God’s strength and love and faithfulness in His Word, but worry still creeps into my thoughts.
What manmade monuments might be captivating us? Let’s be sure to keep our focus not on what’s temporal and will be demolished someday, but on what’s eternal!
As I read this passage, I circled the word all so I could grasp its significance. What did I learn? For starters, the Lord doesn’t leave a job half-finished,
He asked God not to kill his enemies on his behalf, but to stagger them with His power and bring them to their knees. What a prayer!
Joseph’s aha moment reinforces his understanding of God’s sovereignty over his life. It frees him from anger and bitterness and a desire for revenge.
Heaven forbid I wake up to realize I’ve missed an opportunity to share His love with someone who’s hurting.
Sometimes we hear of someone else’s blessings and, with a twinge of jealousy, we compare our situation to theirs. “What’s with that? It’s not fair, God.”
