Sometimes I simply don’t know how to pray. That’s when I find confidence in using the Scriptures as my basis for intercession.
“The rest of my prayer that morning became this: Simplify my heart, Lord, to have just one request: To know You and dwell with You intimately.”
Two different orders. One said, “Stand still.” The other said, “Get moving.” Seems like a contradiction, doesn’t it? How do we know when to do what?

Have you ever wrestled with God’s ways not making sense? Honestly, sometimes I shake my head at how He boggles human logic.
My husband sat at the kitchen table, his head in his hands. “It’s time for a change,” he said. “I’m not interested in doing this any longer.”

How much does God love us? We can’t even begin to count the ways! His devotion to us supersedes anything our minds can comprehend.
Circumstances might not turn out the way we wish, but we don’t need to fret or fear. He knows what’s best for us and how to bring it to pass.
I’ve heard much about the importance of believing God’s Word. Now I’ve discovered two gems that solidify my conviction. Here they are, buried in Paul’s prayer.
