Beginning and ending our day focused on God is found in Psalm 92:2: It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening.
As a followers of Christ, we don’t need to bear it alone. He, too, experienced pain, and He empathizes with us. He fills us with strength necessary to cope.
If negative nighttime thoughts trouble you, ask the Lord for the strength and ability to exchange them for these seven truths.
We yearn for peace, especially when evil happens as it did this week in Boston. Is peace possible? Yes. By admitting that we need God’s help.
“I listen carefully to what God the LORD is saying, for he speaks peace to his faithful people” (Psalm 85:8). What is the Lord saying to you?

Jesus alone grants us true peace in the midst of chaos. Granted, there are specific steps we can take to promote peace in our lives, but He is the foundation.
I’ve allowed the negative to rule at times. Believe me, the outcome isn’t pretty. Anger and angst leave my attitude stinkin’ like a heap of smoldering ashes.
I usually cherish riding time because it gives me uninterrupted opportunity to ponder, pray, and praise. But yesterday’s experience was different.
