I rarely step into a hot shower without whispering, “Thank You.” That said, I know I fail to express my gratitude to God as often as I might.
Considering all that’s happening in the world, I can’t help but wonder about the future for my grandbabies. Perhaps you wonder the same for those you love.
Challenging circumstances don’t have to disturb our inner peace. If we take Jesus’ words seriously, we can accept that trusting in God is the way to respond.
Most of what we know about love is based on what we’ve experienced, and those experiences aren’t always the best teachers.
When bad news comes our way, we needn’t cave into fear. As followers of Jesus Christ, we belong to the living God for whom nothing is impossible.
God will never make a promise and then forget to honor it. He’ll never commit to doing something and then procrastinate or fail to follow through.
Storms will come and go. God’s promises help us navigate the wind and waves to a safe harbor. We can trust Him and not be afraid.

As Christ’s followers, we don’t barely survive our trials. We overwhelmingly overcome them like David overcame Goliath because of the power of Christ in us.
Sometimes God’s purposes overrule our plans. That happened to me this weekend in a most unexpected way.
