Hurting? Afraid? God Knows Your Situation

God knows what we need before we know know we need it. And He’s already figured out the solution or necessary provision.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change (James 1:17)
It was Monday, and I was knee-high in packing boxes when I heard the knock on our door. It was our Sunday school teacher with roasted chicken and rubber gloves.
Yesterday my four-year-old grandson said: “God is BIG! He made the whole earth, and He can do anything because He is so strong! Nobody’s stronger than He is!”
Psalm 37:23 runs through my mind: “The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Every detail. Even house paint.
Who would have guessed that God had such a surprise for us? Not I. Indeed, God is able to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. He just proved it again.
A stranger’s undeserved kindness to me at Starbucks reminded me of God’s undeserved love and mercy to me and to all mankind.
Read His Word and talk with Him as with a dear friend. Wait on the Lord, and He will give you supernatural strength to face the tasks at hand.
I suggest we make thanksgiving an attitude for 365 days each year. Imagine the Father’s joy in hearing His children express gratitude as a way of life!
Faith stories make a difference. Let’s take advantage of their influence. Let’s stoke the fire of the next generation’s faith by recalling God’s goodness to us.
Four days ago I walked on the Great Wall of China. It’s an amazing feat of human engineering considering modern-day machinery and technology didn’t exist.
Praise diminishes our fear by reminding us that God holds us and controls every detail of our lives. We can rest in His wisdom and ways.
God’s word tells us to give thanks in everything. And after returning to Nepal, I realize afresh how easy that should be for me.
I chose to thank God for my mud and rock hut, the neighbors who stopped by daily, and their patience. As I began to express gratitude, God changed my heart.

This week’s ministry is all about building relationships, That happens when we share from our hearts. We remove the masks and be real, and friendships are born.
This year’s team has mostly first-timers. No doubt some feel nervous about ministering among people whose first language is not English but God will equip them.
Sometimes fear hinders us from being intentional about showing love towards people of other cultures. But love speaks every language fluently.
Nearly forty children ages (approximately) 4-12 and a half dozen mothers gathered in the gymnasium of a small Romanian village on Monday morning.
Our team has shared some hearty laughs over the past nine days. They began at London’s Heathrow Airport when going through security.
Anna–a senior Romanian woman I met three times–wasn’t sitting on the bench outside her home today as I’d hoped. The bench was gone, and her door was tied shut.

I love when God answers prayer in ways that defy human explanation. At Heathrow, He made His presence undeniably obvious, and I’ll forever remember that moment.
