3 Actions to Take When We Feel Mistreated
Maybe we need cool our emotions, put down our swords, and ask the Lord to fight our battles – in His way and in His timing. Much easier said than done, I know.

No matter our situation or the decisions we face, God promises to guide us and give us wisdom. With that in mind, here’s a prayer you might find helpful.
The people of Nazareth perceived Jesus as “just” a carpenter’s son. Why? Because they couldn’t naturally explain the source of His wisdom or supernatural power.
Truth be told, the fear of financial insecurity impacts far more people than pastors and missionaries. That’s why I’m sharing this article in my blog today.
Imagine with me, Jesus kneeling before His disciples and washing their dusty feet. He knew His most difficult hour was coming. But still He demonstrated love.
When weariness drains us dry, joy is ours if we want it. When burdens threaten to crush life from us, joy is available as a supernatural gift of God’s grace.
Isn’t that what true love is? Isn’t that what Christ demonstrated on the cross? He loved us before we ever loved Him, and His love cost for us cost Him dearly.
Greater intimacy with the Lord—the One who gave His all for me – is my goal. And that’s why I maintain spiritual disciplines.
God wants us to trust Him with our hearts and our intellect. May He grant us the ability to trust Him like a little child unquestioningly trusts.
My desire is to see people as God sees them, not as through my defective lens. I want to think the best rather than assume the worst.
Who doesn’t want to be liked by others? Who doesn’t want to find favor and approval in the eyes of man? I do. And It can become our driving force.
One of my daily prayers is, “Jesus, make me aware of Your presence.” His answers never cease to amaze me, and reminds me He is very much involved with my life.
Regardless of how we feel about having honest conversations with God, the truth is that He wants to hold them with us. So, let’s do it.
We ought to wake every morning in awe that God has given us the gift of another day. We ought to go throughout our day in awe that He moves with us and in us.
We don’t like to think about our faith journey requiring sacrifice. We’d rather think about how it benefits us: forgiveness, answers to prayer, eternal life.
For each of the past five years or so, the Lord’s given me one special word on which to focus. Beyond a doubt, my word for 2016 is “great.”
I enter 2016 with expectancy. How might God choose to use me in new ways? And how might He interrupt my safe and comfortable routine to accomplish His purposes?
Living big lives requires the courage to say yes at whatever God assigns. We trust His sovereignty, wisdom, and love enough to agree with His terms.
We HOld to HOpe in the HOlidays because Jesus – the One whose brilliant splendor fills the heavens, the One filled with awesome power—holds us.
When things don’t go as we plan, we can either let those unfulfilled expectations ruin the season, or we can view them as an opportunity to trust Him.
In this crazy busy season, we sing about silent nights and calm. The irony is that we feel anything but calm and finding silence is nearly impossible.
And then He speaks words that infuse hope: “This is a painful process, but I am at work. Trust Me. Plant the seed, and a joyful harvest will come.”
God modeled true love by sacrificing His Son so we could be restored to relationship with Him and inherit eternal life. How do we measure up to His example?
As we think about giving this season, let’s remember that we don’t have to spend a small fortune on presents. Some of the best gifts are free.
Happiness is found when we do life God’s way. It gives us the strength to forgive, and to face our fears. It gives us peace in the midst of storms.
“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it,” says Psalm 118:24. These words are more than the lyrics to a lilting worship chorus.
Pondering the deeds of the Lord leaves me in awe of who He is. It also leaves me encouraged, and my soul finds courage, rest, and peace.
Sometimes God calls us to a task that seems ludicrous. Our human nature wants to know the details before we say yes. But that’s not how God works.
You’d think experiencing the lavish love of my heavenly Father would cause me to become a stellar woman of faith, eager and ready to lavish love on others.
Forgiving someone who hurts us is vital to our spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being, but let’s face it: It’s really difficult sometimes.
God is near. His unfailing love surrounds us when we trust in Him. He guides us, advises us, and watches over us. He is fully engaged in our lives.
Even when emotions tell us that He is far away, the truth remains–He is with us. May this truth encourage you today, my friend.
The enemy of our soul whispers lies bent on our destruction, but the Holy Spirit speaks words meant to strengthen and encourage us. Listen well, my friend.
This Egyptian woman took pride in her work and pleasure in serving me. Her actions humbled me and immediately brought Philippians 2 to mind.
I wish all my readers the ability to recognize the blessings they experience on daily and to express gratitude to the One from whom all blessings flow.
God remains faithful. He desires us, He longs for us, He woos us. “I’m calling you to come back to me,” He says. “I love you thiiiiiis much.”
